History

1954

Production begins at the new cement wet-processing plant. The Hranice state cement-works and limestone processing company is established.

1980

Organizational restructuring into the Hranice cement-works and lime kiln concern.

1987

Modernization of the plant begins and the building of a new production line for dry-firing of clinker.

1991

Joint stock company Cement Hranice is founded. The privatization of the company is achieved via overseas capital from the firm Italcementi.

1992

Extensive plant modernization completed. Equity merger with Ciments Francais is carried out.

1994

Cement Hranice company. becomes a majority shareholder in the Cemos Ostrava joint stock company.

1995

The company is certified for its quality control system according to the norms DIN EN ISO 9002.

1997

The majority share in Cement Hranice company gained by German cement concern Dyckerhoff.

2003

The company is certified for its management system according to the norms ÄŒSN EN ISO 9001: 2000 and ÄŒSN EN ISO 14 001: 1996.

2004

Buzzi Unicem gains majority share in Dyckerhoff group, thereby making Cement Hranice company part of the Buzzi Unicem group.

2007

Cement Hranice a.s. certified OHSAS 18 001: 1999.

2008

Complete overhaul of the central tool of our communications – the company logo. The new logo expresses the new joint identity of all companies in the Buzzi Unicem group. At the same time regional company names are maintained in recognition of the uniqueness and cultural heritage of each member of the Buzzi Unicem group.
